Artrepreneurship in Albuquerque

Weathering the economic fluctuations of the art market takes faith, resourcefulness, and luck. Many of us have side hussles to put food on the table during the slow season. Though we prefer to make our living through our creative practice, we take straight jobs wherever our skills open doors. I'm one of the lucky ones whose side hussle is an extension of my fine art career.

Last October, I began adapting my paintings to reach a broader audience. I'm still in the learning curve of new techniques, tools, products, and manufacturers, but the fan appreciation is encouraging. I've been producing a number of items through Rebubble.com and ShopVida.com because of the product variety, affordability, and convenience they offer to my collectors. I often order prototypes of products to check their quality and, if satisfied, sell them in the Ghostwolf Gallery boutique.

This month I'm reaching beyond the boutique and participating with other artrepreneurs in the very popular Moonstone Pop-Up at Sister. Moonstone is a monthly curated, vintage and lifestyle pop-up hosted by Albuquerque's most talented female entrepreneurs and designers. It's a unique venue for the creative community and a resource for style-conscious Burqueños.

Join us on April 28 for an inexpensive brunch, and shop to the tunes of DJ La Ruda. The food is delish, and the merch is beautiful and limited, so bring cash, debit, or credit cards. You don't wanna miss out!
